Arnold Manufacturing Company account books, 1812-1822.

Three daybooks, a ledger, and a cash book kept by the Arnold Manufacturing Company of Woodstock, Connecticut. Arnold Manufacturing was one of several cotton spinning firms operating at the time in Woodstock. The firm was established in 1814 by Moses Arnold, William Bowen, Thomas Hubbard, and Benjamin Duick. The items recorded in the daybook indicate the company may have also been operating a general store. In addition to cloth, they were selling other dry goods and food items. Entries in the ledger correspond to those in the daybooks.
